A consultant specializing in customs compliance and supply chain security consulting. Assisting importers and exporters with various other logistics functions, such as freight rate auditing, vendor negotiations and supply chain review.

A major contributor in designing, developing and implementing Target’s “in-house” Customs program, which allows Target to file its entries directly with Customs. In doing so, increased pre-clearance, accuracy and compliance rates, while bringing substantial savings to the corporation.

As a member of Fingerhut’s International leadership team, I had full responsibility for managing the company’s in-house customs clearance process of over 5000 entries annually, ensuring compliance, timely clearance of import shipments, proper determination and payment of all required duties, fees and taxes and managed a U.S. Customs (C.A.T.) audit. In addition, I served as a key resource and liaison to other affected departments, such as Legal, Merchandising, Innovation, Quality Assurance, and Transportation.
