Kezia Shane Reyes is a Communication Cum Laude graduate of the Class of 2024 at Bicol University (BU). Honed with journalistic skills since high school, Reyes became the Public Relations Staff (2020-2021) and Senior Editor (2021-2022, 2023-2024) of The Bicol Universitarian, the official student publication of BU. She was one of the speakers during the discussion of the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines with campus journalists from BU on March 18, 2021. Further, Reyes received an OSAS Dean's Citation Award during the Gawad BUeño 2022 and a Presidential Citation Award during the Gawad BUeño 2024, the highest recognition program of the university, for her dedication and service as a two-term Senior Editor of The Bicol Universitarian. In 2024, she bagged 3rd place in Column Writing (Filipino) during the Region V Tertiary Schools Press Conference (RTSPC) and 2nd place during the Luzon-wide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) in the same category.Aside from being a consistent lister, student leader, and student journalist since her freshman year, Reyes also had organizational leadership affiliations outside BU, such as secretariat roles in the Bicol Association of Media Studies Students (BAMSS) during the academic year 2022-2023.She became an Editorial Intern at the Philippine Daily Inquirer (Luzon Bureau), where she embarked on multiple field coverages for newspaper and online releases along with other correspondents. She wrote articles relevant to local, social, and community stories and documented events subject to photo captioning.Currently, Reyes is a Marketing Officer at AsiaPay Payment Technology Corporation. She assists the sales team in creating marketing collaterals, writing content for promotions, and marketing the campaigns of the company and its subsidiaries, including the headquarters located in China.
