Responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the utility electric divisions

Responsible for the comprehensive management of the electric line department. This role encompasses policy formulation, technical system design, and overall operational oversight. Key responsibilities include the design and maintenance of both overhead and underground electric distribution systems, supervision of engineering and line crews, and management of the electric and fiber optic network. The position also involves coordination with public utility contracts, regulatory compliance, and the development of innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency, and securing grant resources.

The Electric & Gas Resources Manager is responsible for the physical and financial electric and gas transactions for the Utility including NYISO market participation, physical and financial gas/electric purchasing/sales, hedging, contract management, physical and financial tracking systems (including minor VBA programming), monthly fuel adjustment calculation, energy forecasting and scheduling, strategic planning, and NYS Clean Energy Standard compliance. The Energy and Resources Manager also oversees various engineering projects, a business development coordinator, and manages the utilities natural gas pipeline and compressor station.
