Provided support, training, networking, advocacy collaboration and student recognition for 52 PTAs and PTSAs in Clarke County, Frederick County, Loudoun County, Warren County and Winchester City, representing more than 11,500 PTA members including:- Increased membership in the district by 1,200 in one year-Trained and coached leadership volunteers- Expanded District Board to include Advocacy, Equity and Reflections Chairs-Cultivated business partnerships -Developed relationship with the LCPS Director of Communications and Community Outreach and established Hunt District PTA as a go-to resource for school district. -Created community Parent Information Sessions with members of LCPS staff to provide a forum for parents to ask questions on specific topics -Represented Virginia PTA while advocating with legislators in the Virginia General Assembly as well as on Capitol Hill in Washington DC-Received district level Virginia PTA Child Advocate of the Year -Hosted Leadership Roundtables throughout the year as well as PTA and PTO President calls to connect and collaborate with leaders in the district. -Participated in several focus groups with LCPS which had a direct impact on policies, including Communications Plan, Pathways to Equity and Return To School planning. -Developed relationships with multiple post-secondary admissions counselors from Penn State, Virginia Tech, Franklin and Marshall, College of Charleston, George Mason and Shenandoah University to create an event geared towards students looking to apply to higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic. -Developed Vlog series to connect communities with other local organizations focused on the health, education and well-being of students. -Attended Virginia PTA Annual Meetings-Supported local leaders and attendees at Annual Meetings through Information Booth operationThe Hunt District PTA (now Loudoun County Council PTA) was one of the twenty-one districts of the Virginia PTA.
