Recommendation Systems - have become increasingly popular in recent years, and are utilized in a variety of areas including online shops, movies, music, news, books, research articles, search queries, social tags, and products in general. As a students coming from good backgrounds such as database, programming, mining etc. we decided to choose as a class project - recommendation systems which is one of the best popular areas here in China. Being team leader, we build a system for the local Taobao online shopping and used latest technologies such as collaborative filtering and content based filtering reccomendations, created new prediction algorithm for the customers, python for data mining and much more. Finally, we build system that can be applied to any online shop and give recommendation to the customers which increases the amount of sales to the shop and makes customers job easier.
