Every fourth child in India is malnourished. Malnutrition not only affect the growth and development of child but also can have irreversible impact on human development index and nation's economy in long run. I, Dr. Kshama Nikam ensuring good health and nutrition to the children from underprivileged section of society through Niramaya Health Foundation. We address child malnutrition through Life cycle approach through addressing health needs of adolescents, pregnant and lactating women and children. Being a woman, mother and medical professional, I feel special connect with children. If not taken well care of, children can fall in the trap of malnutrition which not only can affect their growth and development but also can have negative impact of their cognition and academic performance. Unhealthy and malnourished children lead to unhealthy adults with poor productivity. Its a high time, we should address this issue and support our children to live healthy and productive life. I dream one day India will be malnutrition free.
