I led and consulted in the “Big 4” for 12 years at PwC. As Learning & Development Faculty, I teamed with PwC leadership to develop talent from across the globe. I coached, led, and spoke at development programs for audiences from sizes 10 to nearly 1,000. I also spent a decade building trust in society and solving important client problems while leading teams, initiatives, and clients from many industries including healthcare, financial services, and the public sector. I'm a Certified Hudson Institute Coach focused on leadership development and transition coaching. I'm certified in the Hogan Suite of Assessments. I use tools like Stakeholder Interviews and Hudson Institute's coaching methodologies to support clients in building new awareness. Manager, Health Industries AdvisoryPwc Jul 2014 - Jul 2015GbManager, Advisory PracticeCollaborated with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance (DTF) which oversees the administration of more than $50B annually and works with nearly 1,000 local governments. Assessed DTF's current operations and further planned their integration with the Office of Real Property Taxation by working with organizational leadership (e.g. Executive Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner, CFO, etc.) to understand their strategic objectives and operational concerns. Included people, processes, and technology to identify “pain points” and opportunities within the organization. Used surveys, interviews, and best-practice research of real property tax administration to develop practical strategic and operational recommendations for the client. Upon approval of recommendations, developed a roadmap, and recommended an organizational structure to support DTF's strategic objectives and address operational concerns. I partnered with an NYC-based academic medical center to apply for the NY State Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) initiative. My goal was to collaborate with healthcare SMEs across the burrough to develop project plans aimed at reducing avoidable inpatient admissions and ED visits by 25% over five years for Medicaid Beneficiaries in Brooklyn. I had 4 clinical focus areas: decreasing HIV/AIDS/HCV, improving cardiovascular health, managing diabetes care, and integrating behavioral health and primary care. I partnered with medical center stakeholders to develop a coordinated physician recruitment and attestation process for their NY DSRIP application. The team recruited more than 600 NYC medical service providers (over 1,200 unique NPIs) to the client’s network and increased their negotiating power with competitors in the market. -

Led workgroups to identify IT requirements and operational tools needed by front-line staff in the future. Outcomes included an automated admission notification letter for PCPs, risk stratification tools with standardized reporting and post-acute follow-up programs.Simulation TestingI led a team to conduct simulation testing for a multi-state payer preparing to sell retail health plans independently and through the health insurance marketplace. We developed a simulation testing strategy by understanding business processes, identifying testers, coordinating test data for training and simulation purposes, and developing testing scenarios. Executing our strategy exposed Enrollment, Membership and Billing units to technology and process updates prior to implementation allowing our team to identify over 100 defects / enhancements early.ICD-10 PreparationI collaborated with provider outreach teams at different multi-state payers to develop and execute ICD-10 strategies. Our goals were to support their provider network’s ICD-10 readiness; and to identify provider partners for simulation and modeling activities. We wanted to understand likely outcomes, strengths and challenges of the transition. We developed provider and trading partner scenarios for testing processes and IT systems externally.eBusiness Strategy & RoadmapI co-developed a healthcare eBusiness framework for an integrated not-for-profit health system. Used best practice, benchmarking, and competitive analysis research on: the client, 19 care delivery organization websites and market competitors to make recommendations for the client's 3-5year web presence strategy. The organization implemented our recommendations and built a new website. -

AssociatePwc Feb 2006 - Sep 2008GbPatient Access Scheduling & Registation System Review - Statewide AMCI collaborated with PwC's Saratoga research group to design, execute and assess a scheduling and registration system survey to identify software capabilities required of a third-party vendor's new IT system (method saved the client money and yielded results in a quick fashion). I led my team to identify and refine over 300 business requirements through the online survey and 5 focus groups.Our team organized a vendor demonstration requesting real-time execution of business requirements. Through these efforts our team and the client determined that the system was not a good fit; the client looked further to find the right solution.Peri-operative Services Department - Pediartic AMCI partnered with perioperative specialists to perform a five-month assessment evaluating various clinical and non-clinical functions associated with the surgical department. We reviewed processes and metrics associated with surgical scheduling, intake, clinical operations, materials management, central sterile processing, health IT and ambulatory surgery center components of the Perioperative Services Department. Based on the assessment and ~80 interviews we developed nearly 30 current-state process flows with MS Visio. We hosted a collaborative session with over 100 of the department's internal stakeholders to identify future state requirements and design processes at a high level. This resulted in approximately 20 future state process flows.I teamed to create a peri-operative implementation plan which the client purchased and our team to implement. We developed multi-disciplinary action teams responsible for facilitating and implementing components of the future state based on providing safe and efficient care and patient/family, physician, and staff satisfaction. I was also responsible for managing the $1.5M+ implementation staffing budget, expenses, and invoicing schedule. -

Over the course of the year, we used various outreach strategies (networking events, membership drives, professional development programming, corporate partnerships, etc.) to add over 100 new members to the chapter. By adding new members and retaining existing members, the chapter won the ALPFA National membership challenge for our region that year.
