Americas Head of Order Management DevelopmentResponsible for all Equity and Listed Options Order Management development programs.Key deliveries: Order Management system supporting Equities and Options DMA, Equities and Options Sales and Position trading, EU Programs trading, Global Equities (Americas, EU, APAC), numerous drop copies and exchange gateways. Architect and manage all projects for the flagship Barclays order management systems, capable of high frequency trading (currently 5,000 msgs/sec), sub-millisecond executions and handling of millions of orders per day  Lead several US-based Agile teams (10 people)  Drive the global development of the Compliance and Trade Reporting modules for the new Strategic Cash Architecture initiative. (Hands on: Java, Domain Driven Design, TDD, Agile methodology, Disruptors, Event Sourcing, targeting 100,000 msgs/sec) Played a key role in the retirement of several regional applications, replacing them with one global solution Managed from planning to completion the expansion of the Single Stock OMS/EMS to support international trading in Europe and Asia. Features include interregional order routing, overnight order queuing, global order visibility for 24/6 client coverage and trading. Architected design that uses common code base, pluggable region-specific business logic, optimized for low latency and high volume processing. Recruited, trained and directed a highly skilled team of developers in US, UK, Japan and Hong Kong to expedite the delivery of the product in “round the clock” and “follow the sun” development paradigms. Lead implementation and hands on development of an equities order management system for sales and position traders. Consulted with business users, gathered requirements, and designed a system that fully implements object-oriented principles, capitalizes on several design patterns and is highly modular and scalable. Lead a team of developers through various phases from project planning and system architecture to delivery of Lehman’s flagship order management platform, capable of handling millions of orders per day. Architected and implemented a distributed cache framework. Its flexibility, performance and features made it the de-facto standard in the department. Features include transactional support, synchronization layers, fault-tolerance and recovery, various eviction algorithms, dissemination of updates and pluggable backing store. Architected, developed, optimized and supported mission-critical market data applications. Engineered a highly scalable and fault-tolerant Multicast Protocol Replicator, supporting data rates over 70,000 messages per second.
