From our last merger the Amstelring emerged, being an merger between Amstelring and OsiraGroep. I'm for filling different technical roles as a senior ICT Professional within the organization. This mainly involves participating and coordinating in ICT related projects.

The OsiraGroep originated from a merger between Stichting Antaris, Stichting Fontis and Amstelrade.During the start-up of the merger I was among the first to reach-out to the other organisations, to see if we could work together to support the merger. One of the first steps we made together was to integrate and renew the IT environment of Amsterade in the of Antaris. Later that year with combined forces we started the project to build a complete new IT environment from scratch, for which we used the lessons learned from the integration of Amstelrade and the environments of Fontis and Antaris.During the following years the organisation and more importantly the complexity of the IT environment grew. Making it impossible to maintain and support everything with only internal personnel and requiring more and more support from external companies. This changed my operational role to a more supportive and coordinating one.

Antaris was a small company that mainly provided healthcare for elderly customers.I started here early 2000 as system engineer and helped to migrate from a Novell 3.2 network to a Novell 4 network. Parallel to this migration we deployed new computers with Windows 95 instead of the old Windows 3.11 (or even DOS).Late 2003 the organisation was changing from a organisation with just 3 large buildings with all the clients concentrated in those locations to a organisation with a large number of small satellite locations which provided support for teams of professionals giving healthcare to the clients at home.To be-able to support this change we redesigned the network to a more modern network with Terminal Server and Thin-clients instead of PC's.This enabled our users to access their data and applications from any workstation. This also stimulated the use of a Electronic Multidisciplinary Client Dossier which started the year before.
