At IDF, I manage website articles, print publications, and the communications needs of colleagues in the research and public policy departments. I also act as the staff liaison to the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), a group of renowned clinical immunologists who advise IDF on medical and scientific issues. I work with two direct reports to guide and oversee other department priorities.

As ASM's Scientific and Digital Editor, I was responsible for content strategy and production, as well as upholding our style guide and web governance processes. I made sure that content on our website was original, added value for our membership and the wider microbial sciences community and upheld ASM's reputation as a trusted source of scientific information.

In this role at ASM, I developed and organized public-facing programs, such as the ASM Agar Art Contest, our partnership with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History on the Outbreak! exhibit and our participation in various science festivals. I also provided training and opportunities for ASM members to be involved in public outreach. As of summer 2019, I expanded into scientific writing and editing for the society, including writing long-form and short-form pieces for channels such as our member magazine, asm.org and social media.

The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG), founded in 1948, is the primary professional membership organization for human genetics specialists worldwide with nearly 8,000 members.I managed ASHG's outreach programs for high school students and their teachers (High School Workshop, DNA Day Essay Contest, ASHG Lesson Plan Database) and developed professional and career development programs for early-career ASHG members (Trainee Leadership Opportunities, Trainee Career Toolkit, Trainee Forum).

At NSRC (now known as the Smithsonian Science Education Center), I managed logistics and content development for strategic planning services to enable district- and school-based leadership teams to enact comprehensive reform of K-12 science education programs. Programming focused on research and best practices in five systemic elements: teacher professional development, classroom assessment, materials support, community and administrative support, and evidence-based curriculum.
