About Karla Sosa
As a biologist by training, I am interested in how scientific knowledge can be better incorporated into and can better inform policy and industry decisions, while being aware of the complicated history and legacy of science in the public sphere. As a disabled Indigenous person of Pʼurhépecha descent, I am also interested in shifting hegemonic systems of governance and decision-making to incorporate pan-Indigenous worldviews and praxis, leading us to more just and equitable outcomes.
