Katherine is a detail-oriented Executive Assistant and Office Manager with five years of experience in TV production and a knack for keeping things running smoothly and staying cool under pressure. Currently supporting the CEO and Founder of the Center for Countering Digital Hate, she juggles calendars, finances, and team dynamics with ease. From working as a key assistant to a celebrity client to fine tuning casting for TV shows for networks like Peacock, Channel 4, and ABC, she thrives on making things happen behind the scenes and takes great satisfaction in getting the job done. Outside of the office, Sotelo is a published Race & Social Justice writer covering the dynamics of Latin American culture and has acted as a curator for the Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival and the San Antonio Film Festival. With a history of impactful contributions, in 2021 she led an 8-month food donation effort across two TV shows directly contributing warm meals and packaged foods to families and essential workers impacted by COVID-19 in the Austin community. In college, she played a pivotal role in co-founding Xicanx Empowering Xicanx at Syracuse University, where she successfully secured university funding to create a support network for Mexican and Mexican-American students. She has a strong passion for uplifting the Latino community and can talk about the importance of diversity in media and in the office for hours.
