Non-profit corporation under the supervision of Ministry of Trade , Industry and Energy to contributing to sharing Korean experience and knowledge among the developing and LLC. Members are mostly from the ex-KOTRAman. My job evolved around setting up home page, lecture arrangement for KOICA and KOTRA etc. I myself experienced in giving lectures to the foreign officials on their bench-marking tour to Korea by the invitation of Korean Government

This was the first CEO role for me, even though the funding was supplied from other gentleman (chairman) to promote the manufacturing and promotion of advertising Kiosk.This device was developed for use in public area such as subway, bank etc for peoples to get the information on nearby shops so that they can make an reservation to the shop or get the coupon at discount rate.The company started with the ambitious marketing plan but due to shortage of running capital it could not be continued. But I experienced a good lessons-learned for private business.

My responsibility for Dohwa was to try to develop overseas marketing potential toward the area mainly in African and LAC regions where the company did not have direct representation. I was keen to find our the engineering project opportunity, financed from the World Bank, AFDB, ADB, AIIB and IDB etc along with the central and regional governments concerned. Through the 4 years, I had been traveling around the globe more than 20 times.

I was mainly involved in setting up of global marketing capabilities for Hanmi whereas working as a special advisor to the top management for the smooth penetration of Hanmi's products line in overseas countries. It was a pity that due to personal reason I had to quit the job only for 5 months. Although it was short, however, it was good enough for me to learn more about private business in terms of its strong points as well as weaknesses, its culture, not to mention what the company should do for reinforcing its global competitiveness and strategy.

My service with KOTRA was nearly 30 years between 1981 to 2010. During this period, I spent 12 and half years in overseas countries, such as UK, Australia and Japan. I experienced and enjoyed a lot of challenging jobs in KOTRA including initial trade promotion activities with ex-socialist countries like Hungary, Poland, Romania etc during 1988-1990. During those days, I spent my most challenging time with KOTRA as a capacity of rank-and-file specialist. In mid 90's, I was indulged in on-line marketing with the advent of internet technology by initiating the first KOTRA homepage ( Digital KOTRA) and On-line Meeting Program in 2002, one of the first of its kind in the world by TPO. Then in 2006 I was appointed to the director general for Planning/ Coordinating Department of KOTRA .For about 2 and 7months long, I experinced various issues relating to strategic management and as such established a wide network with Korean Government, National Paliament, other public sectors, etc. Proudly enough, I successfully pioneered to increase KOTRA's capital by ten times through the MP-initiated amendment process for KOTRA law. After being promoted in 2008 as a member of BOD, my responsibility as VP rather focus on developing KOTRA's new role and capabilities in the area of Green Business, Bio-medical industry, Knowledge-based Service industry, Global Talent Inducement to Korea, Overseas Deployment of Plant and Construction Industry, etc. In so doing, I often participated in various intra-governmental meeting as a capacity of regular and invited member. To name a few, Overseas Construction Evaluation Committee, Inbound Healthcare Tour Promotion Task force, Korean Culture Promotion Committtee are the ones I regulary attended. On the other hand, for two consecutive years, I was in charge of Overseas Advancement Meeting among the Public Sector in Korea as a capacity of chairman.
