Kelly Spoon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community outreach, fundraising and marketing. She is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications at Dreams for Change, a San Diego-based non-profit that offers innovative and cost-effective programs to assist underserved families and individuals. In her role, Kelly connects individuals, foundations, businesses, and civic leaders to Dreams for Change's flagship programs that help those experiencing homelessness and people with low-incomes. Kelly is proud of the fact that Dreams for Change has assisted more than 60,000 people through pioneering cost-effective interventions and long-term solutions that result in a better quality of life. Kelly's experience also includes working as an Account Executive at Centext Legal Services, LLC, where she sold court reporting and deposition services to new and existing clients. She also worked as a Senior Executive Assistant/Chief of Staff to former Member of US Congress, Lynn Schenk, where she managed extensive database political, business, and community, and provided oversight and guidance to projects of high importance. Kelly has also worked as an Operations Manager at several companies, including Brandscape Group, Disabled Mobility Systems, LLC dba Better Life Mobility Centers, and United Access. She has experience in business development, planning, and coordinating daily activities, project management, advertising and marketing, event/trade show coordination, and research of new marketplaces.
