Grandview Yards Oh

I was the event planner at Giant Eagle's Grandview Yards store. I started working in this position in Pittsburgh and transferred to a new store July 2014. I assisted customers with planning their events and parties, from weddings, birthdays, to corporate events.I assisted in outside sales in the Columbus area. I advertised our catering options to potential customers, and discussed the types of items we have available for their catering needs.I also worked with local Ohio State athletes and coaches when they had appearances in the store, among other celebrity appearances we had coming into the store.

Pnc Park / Heinz Field

I was in charge of managing a group of staff inside of the two fields. I was in charge of their schedules and planning what locations they would be working within the fields. I worked with the set-up, entire event, bartending, food, break-down, and anything else each event required. I worked to make sure the client was happy and the staff was attentive of every need. I worked with the opposing and main teams within the stadium, as well as, any special events, weddings and concerts. I would work with getting the rooms prepared and their food together and anything else they requested

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

I learned the complete operation of a dinner cruise and day cruise business. I worked all parts of the ship from a deck hand, bartender, dishwasher, server, and manager. A great experience in my career and an advancement of my knowledge of the hospitality, event planning, catering, and tourism industry.

Greater Pittsburgh Area

I learned all aspects of the transportation business as an intern. I had received this internship after winning an academic award in my freshman year of college.I was taught how to operate our reservation system and answer the calls. I worked with many clients. I also worked in the dispatch area as well. I learned about the types of vehicles and how to care and clean them. I worked in the payroll and helped with filing yearly files.
