Direct communication with all external and internal constituencies for the College of Health Sciences.Coordinate activities within the College’s four schools (Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing, McWhorter School of Pharmacy, School of Health Professions and School of Public Health) to ensure that they support the vision and mission of the College and Samford University. Establish and implement strategic communications and outreach plans; develop strategic alumni relations activities; facilitate advisory boards for the schools and College; and serve as the liaison to the Office of Marketing and Communication.

Responsible for the overall advancement structure within the school including identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift donors; developing fundraising and alumni relations strategies; providing leadership and support for the school's Advisory Board and serving as a liaison to various university committees. Serve as editor of the school's monthly newsletter and facilitate the development of school specific social media and web strategies.

Responsible for development and execution of strategic public relations and marketing initiatives for national, regional and local clients.

Managed the donor relations and stewardship program, including donor solicitation and cultivation as well as income development budgets and acknowledgements. Worked with event team to plan and execute special event fundraisers and facilitated mutually beneficial relationships between the Center and community organizations and businesses. Additional responsibilities included serving as the liaison to a variety of organizations throughout the healthcare system and managing special project budgets and program design. Established and launched a program promoting one-on-one emotional support for those recently diagnosed with cancer and survivors.

Planned and executed the Walk to Cure Diabetes program on all levels including logistics, publicity, corporate and family team communication and cultivation, and sponsorship solicitation. Walk events included more than 1,500 guests and raised more than $650,000. Donor communication program, "Talk Walk," was recognized and adopted as a national best practice.
