As an instructor for ARC 16 - Inroduction to AutoCAD/Archietctural Drafting, I introduced the students to the basic fundamentals of AutoCAD as well as plan reading. A combination of lectures as well as hands on practice and assignments taught them how to decipher 2 dimensional lines, into 3 dimentional construction and real life applications. Instruction in basic functions to mid-level capabilities of the program provide students with a stepping stone to simple design and drafting abilities, which can be enhanced through further instruction.

My role at Bluebeam is to help seasoned users and well as brand new ones learn the capability of the software, walk them though problems and workflow questions, and be a consistent point person for them to rely on. My background in the Architecture and Construction industry helps me to understand the specific workflow problems, DD and CD issues that our AEC clients may be experiencing. Padua Glass is a commercial glazing company, focusing primarily on aluminum storefronts and entrance systems, curtain wall systems, and structural glass wall systems for educational/government facilities. As the project manager, it is my responsibility to accurately produce shop drawings, advise the foremen on schedules as well as installation and changes to the project in a timely fashion.Keeping a clear and open line of communication between the office staff, the glaziers on the job site and the CM are also important aspects of my role at Padua.

At Nevell Associates, I was a Marketing Consultant who worked with a team of specialized individuals to provide comprehensive services for our client, Withee Malcolm Architects. My role in this diverse team was to find, create and follow through on project leads for existing and new clients and becoming the point of contact for the company. My responsibilities also included, but were not limited to, creating RFI's and RFQ's for potential projects and competitions, updating the company's marketing brochure as well as maintaining the social media/digital presence (via Twitter, Linkedin, and Constant Contact), and attending meetings and industry conferences as a representative for the company. I worked closely with our team of photographers, web masters, editors and even local radio talk show hosts to ensure that the client and company was well represented.

As the Construction Administration Staff, I am responsible for logging in and appropriately distributing all incoming and outgoing legal documents, Requests for Information and preparing Requests for Proposals from various private and public agencies. I have also taken on the task of revamping the firm's overall marketing strategy and design approach to aid in acquiring more interest in the firm and its abilities. As a Junior Architect, I am responsible for coordinating and verifying information and drawings between consultants, our own design team, and relaying any issues that may arise to the client or community.

During my time there, I took on many large and small scale projects for the Education Studio. I dealt directly with clients, consultants, DSA (Division of State Architect), and many other members of the Design/Production team. I was also involved with many social and community functions which strengthened communication and relationships with the City of Ontario, Cal Poly Pomona as well as many other school districts and members of the Alumni community. I enjoyed learning about and being involved in multiple aspects of the industry and as a result I was professionally trained and worked as part of the Graphics and Rendering Team, Interior Design Team as well as the Marketing and Professional Development Team. I had the opportunity to help design and produce marketing brochures on behalf of our clients and company, and speak at a District wide career fair for Riverside Unified School District.
