I was given the opportunity to join a team redesigning the Workday homepage to be fast and responsive using progressive loading and caching techniques. I learned to work across the stack as we managed our own GraphQL server written in Typescript. One of my primary responsibilities was implementing a stat pipeline to track user impressions and interactions.

Because of my prior React experience I was among the engineers selected to build out a new cloud file sharing system with complex permission logic. I personally designed a reusable file picker component for use throughout the Workday app using Yarn Workspaces, and wrote their first API contract and integration tests.

I joined Workday after they acquired a small start-up building a real-time spreadsheet app written in Angular. I primarily worked on achieving feature parity with Excel by adding column filters, sorts, and protected regions. The codebase had no initial test coverage, so I introduced their first unit test suite using Jasmine and Karma.

When I joined Rally my team was responsible for designing a collaborative JIRA board product. Halfway during my time there we were tasked to refactor a codebase that used five different JavaScript frameworks into an idiomatic React codebase. This was an amazing introduction to writing React and designing reusable components.
