I’m a screenwriter with a love of elevated genre, especially subverting tropes with a female and/or LGBTQ+ perspective. I have an unlikely Neuroscience degree from Cambridge, but promptly ditched the science to start making things up. Currently I’m lead-writer on premium grounded sci-fi thriller series EYLAND for Anton, with BAFTA winning director Otto Bathurst (HALO, PEAKY BLINDERS, HIS DARK MATERIALS), a YA fairytale murder mystery based on a NY Times best-seller for Windlight Pictures, and a sci-fi series set in virtual reality for All3Media. I co-wrote Lorna Tucker’s features, BARE, for Raindog/the BFI and KILL 'EM ALL for Greenacre. I’ve also been commissioned to write a grounded sci-fi for SF Studios with director Milad Alami (OPPONENT, THE CHARMER). Alongside frequent collaborator and soon to be wife, Francesca Forristal, I'm developing a dystopian YA queer drama which has been picked up by Seesaw, and our modern gothic romance series, MARIANA, was picked up by Erebus Pictures. We re-wrote Eagle Pictures’ horror feature THE BUNKER GAME, which shot in Rome in early 2021 at a budget of €3 million and is now on Shudder. We’ve also just been commissioned to lead-write a female led cowboy series for Open Book Productions with Eva Green starring and EPing, and our psychological thriller DON'T TELL MUM was selected for the FrightFest New Blood scheme ‘21. I also have a strong practical understanding of film-making through my work as an AD with credits including ALADDIN, JUSTICE LEAGUE, KING ARTHUR, SENSE8, ALIENS, GLUE, LAST NIGHT IN SOHO, and YESTERDAY. I was selected for BAFTA Connect, the WFTV Mentoring Scheme ‘22 (mentor Sam Hoyle), and EIFF Talent Lab ‘22 and I'm represented by Jethro Thompson at Curtis Brown.
