We've launched the product successfully to researchers and citizen-science enthusiast beekeeping segments.Keltronix launched Eyesonhives a platform that helps beekeepers, scientists, and other researchers quantify and assess the flight activity and health of a beehive. Eyesonhives applies principles of remote healthcare, machine vision and automated big-data analytics to the art of beekeeping. By installing Eyesonhives, a beekeeper can log in through the Eyesonhives Platform to remotely visually check on a hive's flight activity as well as see the data from that hive's recent history. That beekeeper can allow other subscribers to 'follow' her connected hives too, and share information with the community.The hive activity data and in particular the orientation activity 'heartbeat' signature gives insight into a bee hive's health. Combined with beekeeping expertise, it has enabled beekeepers to save hives by showing early warning signs of decline. The team at Keltronix is generating a dataset of hive behavior that has never before been collected, and building a connected community of beekeepers.

Led product development for Amazon Halo’s iOS and Android app platform and delivered 46 app releases. Through my team I launched 2 new devices, hundreds of features, and key React Native (TypeScript / JavaScript), iOS and Android app frameworks, empowering an org of ~200 developers. • Led a team of 9-12 SDE direct reports. Defined and communicated the strategy, mission, vision, charter for the Halo App platform. Partnered with Product Managers, UX Designers, Developers and QA, and delivered software through bi-weekly Agile scrum. Maintained a manager satisfaction of >4 (of 5), sponsored 2 SDE promotions (pending 3rd), and onboarded 4 SDE’s as new hires.• Responsible for the Halo App platform. Delivered 6 VP projects including React Native / Xcode / Android Upgrades, in-app device star rating feature, multi-device & multi-team app settings, and Out Of Box Experience for 2P devices.

SME in the tech, business case and market strategy for acute care telehealth solutions. Launched world-first Mobile Stroke Units, as well as tech used in ~2500 hospital EDs daily. Responsible for product roadmap & marketing for InTouch’s $20M+/y telestroke business. • Partnered with senior executives and hospital CEO/CMO leadership to quantify value proposition to fund new telehealth solutions, driving mutual business and clinical goals. • Reported results in Monthly / Quarterly Business Reviews to senior executives and 80+ person sales org. Utilized strong communication skills and developed custom Tableau dashboards aggregating Salesforce, clinical metrics, and medicare payment datasets.• Developed solutions via software development lifecycle, from inception meetings with Key Opinion Leaders, through lean canvas business analysis, product development, go-to-market planning, sales enablement, launch, and scaling across the market.

Managed initiatives across multiple development teams (~30 individual contributors), including programs for hardware, software and integrations of both, with a combination of servant leadership and project management.• Delivered v2 Clinical Applications workflow software, Xpress medical device, Xpress Cart Accessory, Mobile Stroke Solution, Specialty Clinic Solutions.• Improved development processes and quality management system including change management transition to Agile Development, and professional services model.• Architected mapping of QMS artifacts from requirement specification through verification and validation to automated template-driven integrations of agile development outputs using Confluence and Jira. A highlight was delivering Xpress V2, the only Class II FDA cleared tablet purpose built for Active Patient Monitoring. For Mobile Stroke Treatment Units, I championed Xpress' Dual Audio mixer and Dual Video Box Zoom capability to give a remote Neurologist Provider the best possible experience. Xpress and the InTouch Health platform enable Neurologists to literally save lives every single day.Another highlight was driving major changes in our medical device development process and quality management system including transitioning to Agile Development, using Confluence and JIRA, leveraging Continuous Integration with fully automated Regression Testing, and establishing a professional services delivery model. A big win was mapping all required quality management system artifacts from Requirement Specification through Verification and Validation documents to automated template-driven integrations to Confluence, while maintaining compliance with ISO-9001 and IEC-60601.

As a research and development engineer I launched 4 major new products. Primary and co-inventor on 8 patents covering mobile and robotic telepresence. • Developed system integration design between InTouch and iRobot, drove technical and clinical implementation of InTouch Vita autonomous robotic system.• Led technical feasibility and program implementation for first US Mobile Stroke Unit ambulances including cellular and telehealth technology. • Developed and delivered training for process improvement and program management across sales, field service engineers and distributor groups (~50 FTE’s). Developed coursework and trained ~20 technicians on Autonomous Robotic Hospital Mapping.• Achieved >50% reduction of primary robot failure mode using Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, resulting in continued $1M/year service savings, and initiated remote and data-based approach to maintenance delivery.

Created and delivered teaching material to facilitate practical development of Matlab and SolidWorks skills in classes of 20-30 freshman engineers in a computer laboratory setting.

Developed control and monitoring systems for magnetically levitated, five degree of freedom inverted carbon fiber flywheel, achieving project milestones leading to venture capital phase 2 funding of $10M. Amazing learning environment where I developed a simple (robust) control system using Matlab and Simulink, and rebuilt a lot of precision electronics (high bandwidth laser position sensors, voice coil actuators, and a lot of stored 'launch' energy in a bank of capacitors!).
