About Kurt Throckmorton

I am a Principal Scientist at Terra Bioforge with over 15 years of experience in academic and industry labs. I've worked in a broad range of contexts including human virology, murine developmental biology, and (primarily) fungal and bacterial natural products, all through the lenses of genetics and molecular biology. I have a strong interest in nature, the natural sciences, genetics, genetic engineering, biomimetics, and bioprospecting. Through my work with Terra Bioforge, I hope to contribute to natural product discovery and production via the cloning and engineered expression of biosynthetic gene clusters.
