I make appointments, produce blood forms, relay test results, make sure the patient is seen by the correct department and help the doctors keep on top of their work by completing the tasks that are sent to me in a timely and efficient manner. On the front desk I make sure patients are checked in correctly while also making sure they have a positive experience at the surgery, answering their questions and also dealing with the questions the doctors, my colleagues, nurses and HCAs may ask me at the same time. This role required me to complete tasks against a time limit as it was paramount that orders and shipments were packed and processed on time, especially as it was nearing Christmas. I worked extra hours both on the weekends and coming in earlier than when my shift started in order to help the team keep things running smoothly. This role required a lot of resilience because I was on my feet the entire day packing and regularly moving heavy boxes and pallets full of products.
