Top Gear Social Media Executive
Current- Taking ownership of TG’s various social media profiles, delivering and overseeing the output for the Top Gear brand across multiple high user-base accounts – Facebook (13M), YouTube (9M), Instagram (6M), Twitter (1.9M), TikTok (1.2M), and more. - Line managing and approving content in line with BBC Editorial Standards and the Top Gear Brand. - Organising daily uploads, delivering ideas, briefing editors, copywriting, working to strict deadlines, reacting fast to news, analysing digital performance data and deriving insights to optimise future asset creation. - Communicating and establishing relationships across the various Top Gear teams social/web/magazine/TV/podcast teams to ensure cooperation, alignment to achieve organisation goals and increase TG social presence. - Attending events/shows to capture footage and produce high standard edits for socials/topgear.com/Magazine. - Mentoring and advising junior team members on how to produce high quality, relevant content. Also, promoting and supporting their development to achieve higher standards for themselves and the brand. - Use of both automotive and social media knowledge to produce accurate, high quality, relevant content that is appealing to the brands audience. - Creating strategies, running campaigns and analysing content to present to stakeholders.- Photographing and driving new cars for reviews, monthly reports in the TG Mag and website.
