After twenty years in the business sector of visual arts and design, Kathryn Warren founded Art 120 with a core mission to use art as a catalyst to engage, teach and inspire. Through artist collaborations along with public and private partnerships, Art 120 provides programming and creative placemaking opportunities that eliminate barriers in our community. Whether it’s teaching workforce development skills, mentorship, conducting creative technology workshops, addressing cultural deserts through mobile programs, or organizing free community events, Art 120's core group of creative problem solvers collaborate with community stakeholders to address the needs of underprivileged persons within about a 120 mile radius of Chattanooga. Since 2010, Art 120 has been recognized by esteemed organizations such as the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Nation of Makers, Humanities Tennessee, and the DorisDuke Foundation for Islamic Art.
