Sohar Aluminium Smelter (from September 2007) as an first response Electrical & Instrumentation Lead Tech.Er (Cast house & Port)• Erection, testing & commissioning of Greenfield project of Sohar Aluminium smelter with AP35 technology.• A fully Allen Bradley PLC (Rockwell Automation) controlled cast house Consisting of two fully automatic Ingot caster (M/S Befasa) & one sow caster (M/S ACME), Four nos 80 Ton Aluminium Melting cum Holding &Tilting Furnaces (M/S Solios), Automatic siphoning system (M/S Major), Preheating furnace, Dross press Machine, crucible cleaning machine(Stas), Automatic skimming station (M/S MECFOR), Cooling water plant(Solios), Cranes (kone cranes), etc• Erection-Commissioning & Testing of Allen Bradley make PLC & field Instruments related cast House, & Port area.• Erection-commissioning & testing of MCC, EOT cranes, Cooling Towers & Compressors done during project stage.• Testing & commissioning of AC Motors & Power packs • Worked with Bechtel of our contractor for pre-commissioning & testing of Allen Bradley make PLC & field Instruments related Rectifier Station, Cast House, Carbon Plant, Reduction & Port area during POVT (Pre operational verification Test)• Electrical & instrumentation fault finding & solving during shift operation of cast house & port.• To conduct training & hands on experience for developing the technical skill of the Omani MFT (Multi Function Technician).• Good knowledge about computer, at present I’m working with MS Office, SAP Modules & networking of computers on different protocols.
