Hi, and thanks for stopping by my profile! A few words about myself and my motivation: I am a family man and a curious person. I love to explore and spend time in nature or travel and learn about new cultures. I have seen first-hand how our current lifestyles adversely impact the environment and the most vulnerable regions. These experiences drive me to find solutions to counter-act global warming and identify sustainable solutions for a thriving planet and humanity.In my current role at DSV, I scope for technical solutions to reverse global heating and find the right people to drive these ideas to fruition.By training, I am a mechanical engineer with a BSc and MSc from ETH Zurich. Following my studies, I did a PhD in energy systems, focusing on the decarbonisation of motorised transport. It is where I gained experience in analysing data, identifying and modelling patterns, and where I developed a systemic perspective on the demand and supply of energy. I've since worked on decarbonisation strategies for energy-intense processes such as cement and steel production and on deployment pathways for carbon capture technologies, CO2 transport and storage infrastructure, as well as Direct Air Capture (DAC) facilities.
