A University of Pune graduate KULDEEP SINHA studied cinema at FTII Pune with a rare flair in Hindi and English writing equally.An award winning Author and film maker he has won considerable renowned for his thought provoking documentary films and writings. He has Three short story anthologies to his credit: Kashish, Siskiyaan and Dastak. His books on Film making ‘Patkatha Lekhan Ke Tatva’, a ‘Reference Book’ in SNDT University, Mumbai, Film Nirdeshan and Elements of film Editing (eBook) are equally popular with students of cinema He was conferred the Rajbhasha Shree and the Saraswat Samman by 'Ashirwad' , Hindi Sahitya Samman by the Ministry of I and B GovT. of India and few others.His work includes Novels- 'Neither; The Birth of Transgender', 'The darkness in the Arc' and 'Behind the Moving Images' beside a coffee table book on the legendary Playback singer of India cinema 'Mohammad Rafi; The Melody Man'. He has written and directed more than hundred short films on a wide variety of subjects from Agriculture to Arts, from Music to Science and from News and current affairs to Educational films. His films have begged Nine National film awards and several International and State Honors. He was honored with 'Scroll of Honour' for outstanding services towards the welfare & growth of Hindi Talkie Cinema by Indian Organisation of Mass Communication & School of Broadcasting & Communication, Mumbai , and the 'Life Time Achievement Award' for contribution in the growth and promotion of Documentary Films by International Centre for Cultural Relations, Mumbai and many more.Kuldeep Sinha has served as Chief Producer/Director General of the Films Division and the CEO of the Children Film Society of India, Director Mumbai International Film Festival(MIFF) 2008/2010. and 15TH Golden Elephant Children film Fest.
