(Supportive document in Madhav Gadgil’s Report) •Conducting lectures of “Environmental Studies” course to Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Physical education, B.P.Ed (UGC).•Preparation of comprehensive resource sheets comprising of information about Indian Birds (192 species), their habitat, their call analysis, geographic distribution map etc. Preparation of a DVD “Indian Bird calls” under the guidance of Mr. Erach Bharucha, Director BVIEER comprising all the above information. This DVD is meant for increasing the awareness and the understanding about the importance of avifauna for common man. This project was sponsored by Bombay Natural History Society, Mumbai in 2009.
