Validating credit risk models in context with the model uncertainty, model bias and operational uncertainty, with the objective of mitigating the risk associated with models, specifically for retail banking. Ensuring that the developed models are fit-for-purpose and are aligned with the model governance and model risk management framework.- Ensuring early and proactive identification of model risks through independently validating the models through reperformance, back-testing and building challenger models.- Writing model validation reports based on the judgement of the reperformance and evaluation results.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including model developers, risk managers, and model owners to address model validation findings and drive continuous improvement.- Working knowledge of aspects like PD, LGD, EAD, SICR, representativeness, back-testing, mobile-lending, and low default portfolios. Having good understanding of IFRS 9 framework and Basel regulations.- Working knowledge of techniques like Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees within the scope of scorecard development.I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi, and have elementary proficiency in German.
