Counselling with children and families is incredibly complex and rewarding work. Working with families requires drawing upon their existing resiliency and coping strategies, while examining new ways to explore and strengthen the familial relationship.

I truly enjoyed being a part of an incredible and eclectic team of private practitioners at The Space Within. This chapter is one I hope to revisit someday. Helping people is what I love to do and I feel privileged to practice doing what I love. In private practice, I offered individual, couples and family counselling and journeyed with clients through a myriad of concerns.

Counselling clients on an individual basis, couples, families. Facilitated groups: Violence Against Women (VAW), Partner Assault Response (PAR), intake and assessment, ongoing and walk-in sessions, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy with complimentary elements of other modalitites (CBT, Narrative, etc.)

Worked with children under the age of 13 years of whom were diagnosed with behavioural, mood and learning disorders.
