Procured all items relating to MRO. Designed, implemented and supervised the activities in the stock room in each of the 3 plants. Awarded purchase orders base on cost, quality and service. - Utilized centralized maintenance management system (CMMS) to schedule associate and maintenance activities, significantly reducing need for contractor labour, resulting in $200K saving per year.- Oversaw the consumption and replenishment of 25,000 different inventoried parts ensuring inventory availability for emergency and scheduled production downtime.- Negotiated spare parts to be provided on consignment, resulting in $150K inventory value reduction.- Designed and implemented bar coding system improving inventory accuracy to 95% up from 30%.- Developed strategic suppliers and negotiated contract agreements to reduce the number of vendors from 300+ to a group of 90 core partners and the generation of purchase orders from 3000+ to 500 per year. Significant cost savings were realized due to reduced administrative costs, rebates and quantity price breaks.- Analyzed original equipment manufacturer (OEM) inventory. Negotiated new pricing with local distributers and manufactures provided savings of $300K.
