While in sales, I loved digging into customer problems. At the same time, there was a need for user research on our product team. This was my unplanned entry into the world of product management—before I even knew what a PM was. As the first PM on the team and jack of all trades, I did everything from interviewing users, filming marketing videos to writings spec for features so that eng and design could focus on creating their best work.
