Assistant ProfessorRv College Of Engineering Oct 1989 - Apr 2007Taught applied chemistry and environmental chemistry to engineering students, physical, organic chemistry courses to undergraduate chemical engineering students. Developed Industry savvy organic chemistry course for chemical engineer. Conducted workshop to educate teachers to teach organic chemistry to chemical engineering students PROJECTS OF RELEVANCE:1. Exhaust gas recirculation to reduce obnoxious gases from two stroke engines – able to reduce obnoxious gas and improve the mileage of two stroke bike by 9 km. People contributed to success were Joseph Thomas, Anad and Anad 2. Waste plastic utilization in asphalting of roads to reduce environmental pollution caused by plastic bags. Road laid using waste plastics shown increase in strength by three times. This method was approved by Central road research institute, New Delhi and also Government of Karnataka. This technology is being utilized for laying roads inalmost all the cities in India by KK Waste management Private Limited, Bengaluru, India. (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/938807.cms, March 25, 2002 Deccan Herald). Students worked for this project are Amjad Khan (family member of KK waste management and KK Polyflex), Gangadhar, Murali Mohan and Vinay Raykar. NOTE: All the waste plastics and rubber can be utilized to construct roads. -
