Post finishing my engineering degree from MIT, Manipal, I took up the role of a Strategy Consultant at Deloitte USI. For three extremely enriching years, I worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies, from different parts of the world and helped them in scaling up their revenues and growth.During my time at Deloitte, I developed interests in public policy and governance which have had a major impact on the way I perceive things and approach challenges. Policymaking requires a lot of in depth knowledge and research in order to identify and create what works best. In order to equip myself with these skills and knowledge of the grassroot realities, I worked as a Teach for India Fellow teaching students from low income families and supporting their communities in different capacities - creating awareness, exposure and access opportunities for them.At Teach for India, I along with my co-fellow started Project Neeti, a Be-The-Change-Project aimed at bridging the gap that exists between policy design and policy implementation for our underserved communities. We create policy based awareness and access opportunities for teachers, students, parents and other community members. We support our communities through a classroom/school partnership model and are currently working with more than 200 students and their families across different low income communities in Mumbai.
