Closely follow up with the party doing the chemical treatment to achieve the best result. • To maintain the health of all instruments in D M Plant and also in Chemical Lab at DM plant and to maintain the desired stock of chemicals for regeneration.• To monitor and take corrective action of the effluent discharge from D M Plant. • To ensure proper functioning of softener plant and to maintain desired water quality for use in EAF and IF.• To critically examine all water related failures in Boiler, EAF and IF as well as circulating water system. To provide expert advice to prevent re-occurrence of failures.• To maintain and monitor the health of all the pumps of RCPH, Softener plant and soft water pump house.• To maintain and monitor the health of CT basin.CIVIL MAINTENANCE• Responsible for all types of civil maintenance job including Structural and building maintenance such as identification of defective truss, sheets, purlins and gutters and replacement as and when required to ensure no leakages from sheds.• Responsible for proper check of party’s MB.• Estimate of quantity as per the drawing• Water proofing job of foundry casting pits. • Pipeline repairing /replacing job.• Ensuring proper supply of drinking water and raw water throughout the plant.• Responsible of proper functioning of vaporizers and safety equipments of LPG bullets of 20 Tonnes each jointly with SUPERGAS.REFRACTORY MAINTENANCE• Responsible for all refractory maintenance jobs in MDO & HT furnaces.
