By Research:(a) New process development to produce formable flat sheets with high impurities (Recycling large volume of post-consumer scrap metal) containing AA5754 type Al-Mg alloys for car body application (REALCAR project collaborated with JLR, Novelis, Stadco, Innoval Tech).(b) Involved in design and development of new alloys from recycled source, nameable one is RC5754.(c) Solutions to twin roll casting and downstream processing of Al alloys with high impurities.(d) Investigated the effect of liquid intensive shearing on high impurities containing Al alloy sheets.(e) Evaluating and correlating microstructure-property relations.

By Research(a) Synthesised Aluminium alloys based in-situ composites by casting route for high-temperature tribological application.(b) Developed functionally graded in-situ composites by casting for tribological application.(c) Investigated the effect of rolling on the ageing behaviour of Al-Cu alloys and composites.(d) Investigated tribological (friction & wear) behaivour of Al alloys, Al Composites and Bulk Metallic Glasses using tribometers such as pin-on-disc (different temperature), pin-on-drum, dry slurry erosion wear, abrasive wear. (e) Used design of experiments and statistical analysis tools to investigate the factors affecting the tribological behaviour of the specimens.(f) Correlated mechanical & tribological properties with microstructures.

By Research(a) Synthesised 7075 Aluminium alloy composites by powder metallurgy route which includes mixing, compaction & vacuum sintering.(b) Evaluated tribological behaviour of Al alloys & composites using pin-on-roller abrasive & dry sliding wear tester.(c) Extensively used DOE & statistical analysis tools to develop mathematical models to predict wear rate of specimens.
