I have more than 25 years of experience in editing and publishing books in multiple genres such as Indian art, culture, literature in English translation, children’ s books and books for YAs, autobiographies, memoirs, biographies etc. I have worked on international platforms negotiating various layers of book diplomacy through book promotion events, publishing conferences, thematic exhibitions, design-content narrative, copyright catalogues etc. Author of 3 books and numerous articles, I have special interest in post-colonial and gender studies, poetry, translations, copyright issues, publishing issues, communication, media, branding etc. Presently, working as Chief Editor and Joint Director at National Book Trust, India heading the world’s biggest multilingual publishing/editorial division looking after the publication of books in more than 65 Indian languages and many international languages.
