Plan department’s day to day works to fulfill product quality and other requirements to meet the daily production plan targets. Make necessary arrangements for witness testing of cables and pipes as per customer’s request before delivery the products to the customer. Introduction of new materials/suppliers to the production as per the requirements of new range of products (For Cables, uPVC Pipes & Fittings and PE-100 Pipes) as per market requirements. Maintain calibrations for relevant measuring instruments available in plant as planned intervals and maintain calibration reports. Take third party test reports for cables from accredited laboratory (Foreign) to fulfil the local and foreign customers’ requirements. Maintain quality standards requirements as per United Kingdom (BS), Australian (AS), New Zealand (NZS), France (NFC), Japanese (JIS), American (ASTM), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), United States of America-Underwriters Laboratories Inc (UL), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Attending the quality issues coming from customers, suppliers and take appropriate actions to prevent recur same in future activities. Make necessary arrangements to issue relevant Technical data sheets, Technical reports, Drawings, Test reports, Letters, Memos etc., to marketing department.

I am working as a Head of the Quality assurance/ Research & development Department, Glaze preparation and design development Departments in Macksons Tiles Lanka (Pvt) Ltd at Bandaragama factory. Macksons tiles Lanka is producing glazed ceramic floor tiles for both Local and export markets. I have more than 21 years of experience in floor tiles manufacturing in all areas like Quality assurance/Research & Development, Body preparation, Glazing, Firing and final inspection & Packing etc. Annual budget preparation, labour management, process and quality improvements. ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management system, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management system, OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety, Total Quality Management system, etc. I have knowledge of Microsoft office Word, Excel, Power point, Project etc.
