I am a medical doctor and started my clinical healthcare career in 1993. After graduating in medicine in 2001, I worked as a physician in the fields of internal medicine, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and intensive care at a university hospital. My professional career has always been shaped by my passion for innovation in clinical healthcare. It is therefore only logical that I have participated as an investigator in many clinical studies for pharmaceuticals, medical devices and IVDs, sometimes as first-in-man studies, sometimes as pivotal studies, real world experiences and also epidemiologal studies. It was a great step to found my own company in the medical device industry. I invented and manufactured Class III medical laser devices, conducted clinical research, and built a rapidly growing OEM business for customers in the medical device, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries.
