The application that my team works on is basically a conjugation of independent end-to-end modules which support/enhance the entire architecture. Each module is an individual client-facing insurance application interlaced with back-end integration to the supporting framerworks. Based on the complexity of each module,it takes around 30-45 days to complete an entire module and set-it-up for QA and then production.There are usually 2-3 modules which are being worked-on at any point of time.I have the ownership of one of these modules and see to it that it is completed in time with no/minimum defects in QA. I have 3-4 colleagues that work with me on the module.

Project Title: Canada Velocity System for Marsh (http://www.marsh.ca/)Role: Design & Development (Module Lead and Team Member)Team Size: 11Platform / Technical Environment: JSF, Spring, Core Java, JavaScript, Weblogic Application Server, Oracle, JDBC, Eclipse 3.2, Perforce, Ant.; Summary: Canada Velocity system is used as a core system for creating / updating customers, calculating insurance premiums and generating policy documents for Errors and Omissions / Professional Liability clients of MMC (a leading American insurance broker). The Velocity web application is being developed to provide an interactive interface to the end client so that they can apply for new / renewal policies on-line. This system also provides the facility to retrieve policy documents for the client. Apart from the web clients, web is also supporting Admin, Helpdesk, CSR, Sponsors and OPMGR users in English and French locale.Responsibilities:Involved in understanding Business Requirement.Involved in preparing Understanding documents. Implementing the Use cases.Integrating the code with Velocity,Coding as per standards.Implementation of new enhancements or change requestsUnit & Integration testing, log tracking and analysis.Mentoring new team members and providing project knowledge to them.

Upgrade and Sanity of a Linux-Based Internet Gateway that is currently deployed in a number of institutions related to hospitality. (eg.Taj Group of Hotels)
