Currently, it is operating 1040 MW station at Visakhapatnam, India with 250+ employees.Highlights: Established JV business unit and built team from 7 engineers to strength of 250. Developed internal management systems, managed client relationship and trained team on operation and design of plant.- Slashed project execution time by 6 months saving $180M by designing alternative equipment cooling water scheme when 2 X 520 MW project stalled due to delay on sea water project. - Enhanced plant construction quality and safety through instituting regular training and compliance program. Managed environmental and statutory compliance of the project.- Headed team of 15 executives and collaborated with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) agency to commission the 520MW unit within 45 days through organizing resources, information, schedule and manpower.- Optimized spares and consumables through risk analysis to reduce budget from $28M to $20M. Highlights:Led the Boiler Engineering division supported with 10 executives. Provided consulting services to number of clients on design gap analysis and technical solutions. Promoted within 3 months to become the youngest Head of the Department- Developed design basis reports, and completed techno-commercial feasibility studies for projects. Designed technical and commercial contract documents, organized bidding process and collaborated with project financiers and vendors for international competitive bidding of projects.- Recommended operation excellence and efficiency improvement solutions to state utilities as Central Electricity Authority representative under Indo-German Energy Program. Monitored operation and maintenance contracts for qualifying requirements and meeting deliverables.- Increased profit earning up to $3 million/ year through designing and introducing Availability Based Tariff (ABT) management software through power sales management. Collaborated with power purchaser on day-to-day power sales management.- Transformed rift-ridden competing teams into complementing ones by identifying conflicting issues and developing procedures in multi-cultural environment involving Chinese and German engineers. - Analyzed design gap suggesting technical solution to improve plant reliability and convinced senior management to get approval of $10M on plant modifications.- Developed and implemented the standard procedures for qualifying equipment/ system/ unit capability- Developed the business plan for first two years of units operation including fuel and spares requirement.
