About Kumar Sharma
As chief of nephrology and vice chair of research and director of the Center for Precision Medicine, I am involved in applying principles of precision medicine for nephrology and across the divisions of medicine. I have also founded SygnaMap, a startup company to develop computational platforms for spatial omics analysis. Our studies are focused on determining the mitochondrial basis of organ dysfunction via multi-omics and systems biology approaches. These approaches could lead to novel diagnostics and therapeutics for difficult to treat diseases.
