Kumar is the technology evangelist and intrapreneur for the health plan group at NTT DATA leading the development of new global offerings, ideas and products leveraging different global NTT Op Cos (US, Australia, Japan, LatAM, Spain and others), generate, obtain and manage funding from multiple sources/streams, integrate risk-taking with innovative approaches within a complex and large organizational environment. My focus is on creating and transforming an idea into a profitable venture and help our business and technology teams achieve success in growing our health plan group while achieving our larger motivation in connecting people and creating better solutions for everyday life.I also specialize in Health Exchange Strategy, Systems and Operations, Digital BPaaS, Value Based Care and AI/ML solutions such as a Bayesian based chronic disease prediction/intervention, next-gen care management, personal health plan, conversational AI and also helping to migrate and transform legacy health plan solutions to either private / hybrid cloud. My hope is to truly democratize AI for healthcare and help get to the top rung of Dr Pearl’s ladder of causation – from seeing and doing to imagining – the building blocks of moral behavior as well as scientific thought. My dream is to make a difference in healthcare leveraging the power of co-innovation.My current work is on explainable AI for chronic disease prevention for Type 2 Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), COPD, Coronary Heart Disease, Chronic Liver, and Stroke, that is an industry first to use multi-payer (65+ payers) to remove AI bias and bring together provider, pharma and plan/claim data, extending it to treatment prediction on a personalized basis and linking it to socioeconomic rankings based on ZIP+4. Living in a dis-advantaged neighborhood has been linked to a number of adverse health outcomes. Health interventions and policies that don’t account for neighborhood disadvantage will likely be ineffective.Kumar lives in Tampa exploring the endless summer state’s various nooks and corners and when time permits, trying to build a home security agent using a robot vac with both LIDAR and multiple cameras that roams around the home and reports on any unusual events while he is out traveling.NTT DATA is a top 10 global IT services provider, headquartered in Tokyo and operating in more than 50 countries.
