• Reported directly to CISO• Architected and built Lyft's next generation SIEM (leveraging fluentd, Apache Beam), reducing failures by 80% and catching mission critical bugs that had plagued the system for years.• 1 of 3 engineers who created Lyft's Vulnerability Management Program. Service scans all Lyft infrastructure and generates reports for senior leadership and our partners.• Designed and led Lyft's OAuth security initiative. Reduced risky OAuth apps by over 70% across company.• Launched Insider Abuse program, securing Lyft's internal "god view" tools that are used to access user data. Reduced employee self-lookups in critical systems by 74%.• Designed and currently tech lead for multi-year, cross-org initiative to add authentication and authorization to our data warehouse. Pitched project to executives and leading team of 3 with the goal of reducing unnecessary data access by 80%.

• Working within the University of Washington’s School of Environmental and Forest Sciences in the Center for International Trade in Forest Products (CINTRAFOR).• Currently building world’s largest forestry trade analytics platform.• System will perform updates in real-time using several government and private databases around the globe dealing with approximately one hundred million datapoints.• Expected to save several thousand hours of manual human computation over the next few months.• Will provide an excellent artifact for CINTRAFOR to display in order to raise money and grow the department through grants.

• Led the creation of a custom, ML-driven CRM solution for the Azure ELT as part of the Azure Customer Experience team.• Wrote product specs and drove execution of feature and model development across several orgs including Microsoft News and Customer Growth & Analytics in both Redmond and Hyderabad, India. • Enabled the Azure ELT to have more effective executive engagements with Microsoft’s largest customers.

• Developed and utilized tools to reduce Lyft’s cloud spend by over $100K/month. • Was brought in as the second engineer on the newly-formed capacity team dealing closely with senior leadership and Lyft’s top engineers. • Developed tools to increase reliability of the company’s cloud networking resulting in the discovery of high-profile bottlenecks in networking infrastructure, presented issues to leadership.

• Formed and led a team of interns to win the companywide OneWeek hackathon with LinkedIn Bump feature, approved by senior leadership and currently implemented in LinkedIn app as the QR Code feature. • Worked in Core Services & Engineering group (formerly Microsoft IT) in the Global Hosting and Integration team. • Built end-to-end web service that displays all buildings, rooms, racks, servers, and devices under Microsoft Lab services control for Global Hosting and Integration team. Expected savings from tool was projected at $178,000 over the following 6 months.

• Attended high-level BEE425 Microprocessor System Design class• Built big data analytics tool, Instruction Decoder, that translates bit representations of data into machine code for use in the University of Washington EE curriculum. Software currently deployed at the university and has been used by several hundred students
