Production Planning Manager
CurrentUtilizing Power BI to conduct in-depth analysis of historical data and trends, facilitating demand planning and forecasting on a weekly basis. This involves fine-tuning forecast models to accommodate seat load factors for various airline customers, enabling inventory and supply chain planners to make informed decisions regarding stock replenishment or retention. Provide oversite to ensure that unit personnel carry out material transfers/withdrawals, all products are assigned to their workstations, and specifications are set accurately by running queries in Microsoft Access. Generate work center reports weekly using Power BI for multiple plants and communicate them to stakeholders. Audit and assist Production manager, supply chain manager and ERP coordinator in ensuring the products’ specifications are up to date in ERP tool to ensure smooth flow between the teams. Use Excel macros to update flight schedules for units assigned in ERP for daily production activities to avoid manual entry errors and consume less time. Maintain and monitor the monthly KES (Key Events Schedule) for a given unit and hold departments such as material management, accounts management, production, and finance accountable. Revise medium-term Master Production Schedule to ensure effective labor and material planning. Support operations to implement changes in production and material flow to optimize productivity and support the business implementation. Lead warehouse management project plan for non-electronic airlines to implement IDS (Internal Delivery system) on the basis of push and pull requisitions for transparency between flow of materials from various departments. Lead weekly stakeholders meeting with cross functional teams for production planning functions i.e., Forecasting accuracy, customer changes, data and material management for waste yield and over portioning. Develop central tagging reports using MS Access queries to identify new products for work center allotment.
