AIR founded the catastrophe modeling industry in 1987 and today models the risk from natural catastrophes and terrorism in more than 50 countries. More than 400 insurance, reinsurance, financial, corporate and government clients rely on AIR software and services for catastrophe risk management, insurance-linked securities, site-specific wind and seismic engineering analyses, and property replacement cost valuation.

Managed part of the Intellectual Property portfolio of Massachusetts General Hospital, working with researchers on identifying, protecting and marketing technologies through licensing, spin-out company formation, consulting and material sales

• Served as project manager, provided leadership, guidance, technical direction to culturally diverse cross-functional team - evaluated and analyzed new product growth opportunities - led to development of next-generation vision care product with potential for $300M+ revenue - Administered $500k annual expense budget. Spearheaded strategic sourcing initiatives to select and develop next-generation machine vision system solutions and identify, assess, manage strategic suppliers - Earned Six Sigma Design Excellence Green Belt certification using continuous improvement methods to implement business analysis, strategic planning, supplier selection, design specification, and risk assessment for $4.7M next-generation automated lens inspection system project - involved 2 multi-national vendors in Europe and 2 in US, resulting in cost avoidance of $2.2M - Delivered inspection systems software on time, within budget in US and Ireland for Acuvue® Advance, Oasys, and Advance for Astigmatism—3 of the largest product launches, representing $700M+ per year—through effective leadership of project team comprised of 5 engineers and a supplier - Won Encore Gold Award for contributions to the Acuvue® Advance project, exhibiting key success attributes in customer focus, strategic thinking, and risk taking

Supervised implementation of complex, international projects in industrial Machine Vision applications- Implemented 2 high-speed automatic inspection systems for quality control at one of the largest electronic component manufacturers of the world by directing a team of 8 people and managing 2 suppliers under aggressive time lines and maintaining tight project schedules- Demonstrated and encouraged cross-cultural team building for strong, effective working relationships amongst group of engineers, sales staff, suppliers and customers of Machine Vision systems in Israel, Malaysia and the USA

Managed a team of 6 people, a supplier and one of the largest consultants for stray light analysis resulting in design and operation of Pattern Recognition Systems for an international customer base• Supervised optical system and software definition, development, testing and releases for nearly 4000 high speed wire-bonding machines every year using appropriate cost and risk management• Trained 50 field engineers and provided on site engineering support for customers in Singapore, Japan and Malta resulting in significantly improved customer service and collection of more than $1M revenue
