Production/Manufacturing Quality Assurance-• Improved First Run Capability (FRC) by 15% through implementation of Line sensors (Level-3 Poka-Yoke) at critical stages of engine assembly.• Applied lean six sigma methodology to identify the defects in oil sump of engine assembly and implemented image sensors to record the defects per assembly. It supported in root cause analysis and a bolt was changed with a clinch nut for the sealant dispensing unit. This eliminated the oil sump defect.• Led productivity improvement for XUV assembly line at Chakan Plant by 15% through line balancing and identified the bottleneck stage (Door assembly). Introduced Kaizen tool for fixing the rubber beading in door panel and eliminated bottleneck from this stage.• Led BBS audit for engine assembly line and identified 9 unsafe processes across four stages and categorized them into three zones to prioritize the activities. Implemented SOPs, kaizens for material handling and safety trainings to the operators. This improved the working conditions of all these four stages. The unsafe processes attributed to frequent oil slippage, position of dustbin and personal protective equipment.• Spearheaded Capacity ramp up projects for KUV and XUV assembly line using VSM and achieved 40% reduction in production cost and saved INR 4.3 Lacs annually in FY20.• Spearheaded a team of 35 members for XUV ramp up and coordinated with supply chain for BIW localization at Chakan. This resulted to INR 1.2 Cr of cost savings and productivity ramp up by 50%.Operations & Supply Chain Management-• Integrated supply with production and achieved seamless schedule information flow.• Created flexible storage by introducing VMI concept.• Led engineering change management for engine assembly part which led to improvement in Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale of the associate.

• Conducted line balancing & MOST study for E-Rickshaw launch and brought 22 offline activities online.• Coordinated in re-design of dexterity training of newly hired shop floor associates which reduced the overall time span by 20% for their onboarding to production process.• Prepared defect dictionary using DCP as reference & modified the control points for easy detection of gaps in the process.• Led the Quality Improvement study using QC tools/ methodology for body assembly line and came out with 50+ issues with their RCA’s and eliminated them via SOP’s/Kaizen/OJT and process improvements.
