• Establish a clear Logistics Procurement plan ensuring that all requests are managed effectively to ensure sufficient time is provided to complete all necessary processes, support and effective Supply Chain Management to meet Operational needs• Global & Domestic Vendor / Logistics Service Provider (LSP) and Contract Management – Transportation, Warehousing, Projects, Vendor Payments, Freight Forwarding (Air/Sea), Customs Clearance• Manage and lead the Logistics and Supply Chain Negotiation based on Technical, Operational and Commercial point• Identify and evaluate suppliers, arrange for transportation, warehousing (Supply Chain) of Imported goods and any Government Projects• Achieve Identified Cost savings and Explore more towards Ops Excellence & Cost Saving by having an insight into innovation and new supplier development to deliver expected saving based on total Supply Chain cost• Identify and develop strategies for addressing logistical barriers to improve Operational Efficiency• Monitor use of materials and resources, and ensure quality record keeping. Provide support for Audit and Compliance checks• Implement collaborative optimization strategy within Logistics Procurement area• Develop positive relationships with suppliers to strengthen Business Relationship

• Develop the Gateway component of Annual Operating plans in tandem with the Regional strategies and ensure implementation of the plan.• Support the business acquisition process and provide after sales support in order to achieve revenue and profitability targets• Plan and implement Gateway facilities, equipment and infrastructure in accordance with regional guidelines and local requirements.• Ensure Gateway operational practices and procedures are compliant with regional and network operation policies.

- Develop initiatives and partnerships that will ensure DHL provides market-leading Custom Clearance service relative to our cost position.- Understand customer needs and devise specific solutions if required and Suggest improved processes to streamline clearance activities and compliance.- Provide Support in setting up processes & implementation and in Management and development of Clearance Team.- Manage Inbound clearance process and Export Process within established standards for processing and transit time. - Manage the customs interface with DHL’s shipping processes to satisfy the key contributory element to customer satisfaction.

- Responsible for ensuring import and export compliance of all the freight to dutiable countries with local Customs Laws and other trade regulations for Road Freight.- Manage Export/Import screening process for all Dutiable Freight and European freight.- Establishing the goals, objectives and ensure their execution according to the plan of the Organisation.- Ensure smooth running of the shipping team's activities (imports/exports), through constant review and monitoring of Shipping Team operation and service levels.- Develop and implement effective import and export compliance process to ensure compliance with all import and export rules and regulations.
