I assembled and managed a fully integrated team for IP analytics (hi-tech domain). As Assistant Manager, I managed patent preparation and prosecution assignments. I worked with inventors and attorneys to identify the best possible strategy to protecting their innovation, and delivering patent applications with the right balance of breadth of coverage, and survivability/fallback positions. I trained the team on patent prosecution – particularly the tactics of arguing more persuasively during, and tailoring responses based on the examiner’s approach in claim rejections.
