CS6755 - Design Foundations of Human-Computer Interaction

I help people rethink their brands and realize their value and communicate it to others.“Branding Experience = User Experience x Brand Design”Brand experience integrates brand design and user experience, allowing companies to better understand the market, recognize user needs, and identify key issues through a series of rigorous design methods. I believe combining perspectives from different fields and keeping an open mind is how the value of design is created. I provide design services for businesses from various types of industry.

– Based on information architecture, translated business goals and user requirements into fully functional and usable design solutions. – Developed innovative concepts and participated in user experience research. – Wireframed user flow and articulated with high fidelity user interface for responsive design.– Innovated user interface and coordinated with design and development.

Managed and guided undergraduate students/lab members in their tasks and responsibilities. Helped with designing needs of the lab and the projects being conducted by the lab. Created concept models, heuristic reviews, process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed specifications for web and mobile/tablet applications. Project: ARTECA(arteca.mit.edu), ArtSciLab Identity Guidelines, ASL Projects Graphic Design, User Experience Workshop– Designed & improved the UI/UX on the ARTECA platform in collaboration with MIT Press & Leonardo Journal.– Published the first Chinese journal article on the ARTECA in collaboration with Tsinghua University and Nanjing University. – Articulated designs for development through redlining, interactive guides or other resource materials.– Comprehend, communicate and adhere to established design and user experience standards.– Developed low and high fidelity UI prototypes for multiple uses of web and mobile applications.– Conducted usability testing, A/B testing and drive user research workshops.

The transdisciplinary research lab carries out national and international collaborations that focus on the hybridization of art and science. Responsible for creating assets for various brand touchpoints including advertising, social media, internal communications and more. Conceiving and conducting user research, interviews, and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

– Assisted with the literature review.– Assisted with the project of teaching students to use the woodworking equipments.

– Designed the co-branding products with the Birds Cafe.– The handmade wooden mobile phone holder design had 130 orders in the first week.
